On a very muddy weekend in September, a fabulous team of 11 amazing Tough Mudder’s raised £1000 for Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton.

We are so grateful and overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses, the community and friends and family for donating to the Age Concern Liverpool and Sefton Tough Mudder Challenge this September!

As one of the 11 fabulous supporters who took part in the challenge, I know how much effort, motivation, grit and madness it took to do this! We all pushed ourselves, even surprised ourselves – what an amazing team of people! And… WE TOTALLY SMASHED IT!

On behalf of Age Concern Liverpool and Sefton I would like to thank you for your support and well wishes – you have helped make a big difference to the lives of local older adults. The money we raise will help us combat loneliness and isolation by retaining vital services for vulnerable older people in our community;

• funding befriending and reablement officers to assess and get the right support to help them live more independent lives,
• providing regular weekly visits or calls to isolated and lonely people in their homes,
• organising various activity programmes to keep people active and engaged in their local community.

We could not have achieved this without the support of the local community. You are amazing!
